Tarun Ramesh

Research Fellow

Tarun Ramesh is an MD candidate at Harvard Medical School and has worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. Hao Yu since 2022. Tarun graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with majors in Economics and Genetics. He studies provider workforce, rural health, and healthcare consolidation. He has published a dozen articles as the first author, including in the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and JAMA Internal Medicine. His research on the visa policies for international medical graduates was recognized as one of the best abstracts by the 2023 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting. He has worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the DHHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, the Center for American Progress, and the Drug Policy Alliance.
