Susan Huang
Dr. Huang completed her infectious diseases fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston in 2003, becoming an Instructor and later Assistant Professor, before leaving to be faculty at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine where she is now tenured Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Brown University, her medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and an MPH in Quantitative Methods from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Huang is a highly accomplished infectious diseases clinician, and an established researcher focused on healthcare epidemiology and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections and multidrug-resistant organisms. She is extensively published and her work includes leading several randomized clinical trials that have changed current practice in hospitals today. She lectures on the national and international level on a regular basis.
