Jennifer Lyons

Research Scientist II

Jennifer Lyons, PhD, MPH, is a Research Scientist in the Therapeutics and Infectious Disease Epidemiology group at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute.  She works on the FDA-sponsored Sentinel Initiative for drug safety surveillance.

Dr. Lyons received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan and her doctorate in Epidemiology from Boston University.  Her dissertation work focused on health outcomes in older adults and used Medicare claims data to evaluate the association between physical function and long-term nursing home residence. Prior to joining TIDE, Dr. Lyons was a Researcher at HealthCore, Inc., focusing on post-marketing drug safety studies, pregnancy and infant health outcomes, and predictive modeling using machine learning methods.
