Elizabeth Bell
Liz Bell, PhD, is an Epidemiologist in the Therapeutics and Infectious Disease Epidemiology group at the Department of Population Medicine at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and Harvard Medical School. She is currently a researcher on post authorization vaccine safety studies as well as the FDA-sponsored Sentinel Initiative for drug safety surveillance. Her experience and publications span a wide range of topics, including cardiovascular, vaccines, oncology, pregnancy, and leveraging electronic health record and claims data for research. Dr. Bell received her master’s in public health and doctoral degrees in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. After graduation, she completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship in pharmacoepidemiology at Mayo Clinic, after which she continued her research partnership with Mayo Clinic as a Research Collaborator. Dr. Bell is also an active member of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, where she has been elected to serve on the leadership team for the Vaccines Special Interest Group.
