Alon Peltz

Assistant Professor

Alon Peltz, MD MBA MHS, is an Assistant Professor of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute.  Dr. Peltz leads a research portfolio focused on population health and spans the domains of quality measurement, health and social policy, and human-centered design. 

Over the past decade, Dr. Peltz has supported government agencies and health care organizations in an advisory capacity.  Dr. Peltz has served as Medical Director for Health Equity at Point32Health, Associate Medical Director for Payment and Care Delivery Innovation at Massachusetts Medicaid, Quality Measure Lead at the Yale Center for Outcomes Research & Evaluation, and Health Provider-in-Residence at IDEO, a global human-centered design and innovation company.

Dr. Peltz received his MD and MBA degrees from Vanderbilt where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his clinical training in general pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Peltz is a graduate of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University.  He is a practicing general pediatrician and cares for infants, children, and young adults in the Boston Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center.
