Isdin Oke

Assistant Professor

Isdin Oke, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Ophthalmologist at Boston Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and public health degree from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Oke specializes in the surgical management of vision-threatening conditions affecting children, including cataracts and strabismus. His research focuses on the social determinants of vision health. He uses electronic health records, national surveys, and health insurance claims to study vision screening, eye health services, and clinical outcomes. His research aims to inform health policy and improve health care delivery. Dr. Oke has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Research to Prevent Blindness, and Knights Templar Eye Foundation.
