About The Event

This CHeRP seminar features Hao Yu, PhD, a faculty member in the Department of Population Medicine. He has more than 20 years of experience studying health care reforms in both the US and China. He has led multiple R01 projects, all of which focused on how financial and organizational factors affect health care and health outcomes for vulnerable populations, such as children with special health care needs, the mentally ill, and those who live in medically underserved areas. His ongoing projects examine insurance expansion, workforce policies, and health care for children with autism. Prior to coming to the DPM in 2019, Dr. Yu was a senior health policy researcher at RAND Corporation, the first organization that was called “think tank” in the US, and served on the faculty of the RAND Graduate School in the US and Shanghai Medical University in China.
