HMS Fellowship Program in General Medicine and Primary Care Now Accepting Applications

June 7, 2019

The Harvard Medical School (HMS) Fellowship Program in General Medicine and Primary Care is a collaboration of major clinical institutions of HMS and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. One of the leading training programs in the nation, the Fellowship provides research training and experience under the direction of highly qualified mentors and has produced numerous academic leaders in general medicine research, education, and health care.

Associate Professor Frank Wharam serves as Department of Population Medicine (DPM) site director for the fellowship. Since its participation as a fellowship site, DPM has trained over 20 fellows. Fellows studying at DPM benefit from a strong mentorship program, the interdisciplinary nature of the department, unique research opportunities, and large, rich data resources. Current DPM General Medicine and Primary Care fellows include Amir Meiri, MD, and Mara Murray Horwitz, MD.

Applications are now being accepted for July 2020. For more information please email GIMfellowship@bwh.harvard.edu. For questions specifically about the Department of Population Medicine as a fellowship site, please contact Frank Wharam or click here for more information.
