Jennifer Lyons

Jennifer Lyons, PhD, MPH, is a Research Scientist in the Therapeutics and Infectious Disease Epidemiology group at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute.  She works on the FDA-sponsored Sentinel Initiative for drug safety surveillance.

International Research

In most low and middle-income countries, most medicines are paid for out of pocket.  Often large amounts of scarce resources are wasted, in part because medicines are used inappropriately.  To help improve medicines situations for low and middle-income country populations across the world, the group leads and collaborates on major global medicines research activities. 

Call for Submissions: Suzanne and Robert Fletcher Prize in Population Medicine

The HMS Department of Population Medicine announces a call for submissions for a $1000 prize for the best paper on a topic in Population Medicine written by an HMS or HSDM student.   Papers will be judged by an expert panel of DPM faculty, who will be blinded to the authors.  The student who submits the most outstanding scholarly paper will be awarded the $1000 prize.

Pi-I Debby Lin

Pi-I Debby Lin, MS, ScD, is a health scientist with a research focus on environmental and nutritional epidemiology. She is interested in investigating how environmental and dietary factors affect health across the lifecourse. She utilized epidemiological study designs and statistical modeling to evaluate the relationship between environmental exposure and chronic disease outcomes. Particularly, she focused on heavy metals, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), air pollution, and greenspace.

Mei-Sing Ong

Dr. Ong is a biomedical informatician with a multidisciplinary background in computer science, biomedical engineering, epidemiology, patient safety, pediatric health, and health services research. Her research applies computational methods to clinical data to advance understanding of disease epidemiology and to improve health care delivery.
