Insurance Mandate Generosity, COVID-19, and Health Care for Children with Autism

While several studies have noted substantial variations in the generosity of benefit coverage required by state autism insurance mandates, there is little evidence on how the effects of autism insurance mandates vary by the generosity. This study aims to fill the evidence gap. The study findings will contribute to the knowledge base that can inform policymaking on expanding insurance benefits and closing coverage gaps for children with autism.
