Theodore Pak is an infectious diseases physician-scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemical Sciences and Computer Science at Harvard College, worked professionally as a software engineer, and then graduated from the MD/PhD program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2019. His current research focuses on the use of large language models to extract information from unstructured data in electronic medical records, aiming to improve the selection of antimicrobials for patients with sepsis and other high-impact infectious diseases. He has published on his research in JAMA Internal Medicine, Clinical Infectious Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine.
