2021 Robert H. Ebert Career Development Awards Granted to Four Institute Faculty

The Robert H. Ebert Career Development Award, named for the founder of Harvard Community Health Plan and former Dean of Harvard Medical School, supports the work of Institute faculty who demonstrate exceptional promise in the area of ambulatory care, primary care, or preventive medicine.

These awards provide resources to develop leading-edge programs in teaching and research and to pursue scientific and professional activities consistent with the department’s mission. Congratulations to this year’s four awardees:
 

Fellowship in Health Policy and Insurance Research Application Information

Eligibility

Typical applicants hold clinical doctorates (MD, PharmD, or equivalent) with additional research training or experience; PhD or equivalent degrees; or are PhD candidates who have completed their course work, including statistics and epidemiology courses or equivalent, and qualifying examinations.  We encourage prospective applicants to send an informal inquiry about their interest in the fellowship to the Fellowship Administrator.

Olesya Baker

Olesya Baker is a Research Scientist at the Division of Health Policy and Insurance Research (HPI) at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. Prior to joining HPI in 2021, she worked in the Division of Health Policy within the Department of Emergency Medicine and also at the Center for Clinical Investigation, both at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

Caitriona McGovern

Caitriona McGovern is a research fellow in the Division of Chronic Disease Research Across the Lifecourse (CoRAL) and a clinical fellow in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital. She graduated from Harvard College with a major in Global Health Policy prior to attending Harvard Medical School.  She completed her residency in pediatrics in the Boston Combined Residency Program. Her research interests include pediatric nutrition, obesity, and health care quality.

Diana Soria-Contreras

Diana Soria-Contreras is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. She received her MSc from the University of Alberta in Canada, and her PhD from the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico. Her research interests include the impact of pregnancy and childbearing in the development of obesity and chronic diseases, as well as the impact of women's reproductive history on these conditions.
