Cathy Panozzo is an Instructor in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. She received her PhD in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, MPH in epidemiology of microbial diseases from Yale University, and BS in biology and BA in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously, Cathy worked at Sanofi Pasteur in influenza and dengue vaccine safety, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in viral respiratory and gastroenteritis surveillance. Her interests include using large databases to study the comparative uptake, effectiveness, and safety of drugs and vaccines. She is also interested in public health surveillance and interventions. Within the Department of Population Medicine, Cathy is an investigator in Sentinel and the Biologics and Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium.
