Drug Policy Research Group - Home Page

The overall mission of the Department of Population Medicine's Drug Policy Research Group (DPRG) is to build research capacity and produce evidence for the development of sound private and public sector pharmaceutical policies that improve access to and quality use of medications, especially among vulnerable populations, in the United States and around the world. For more than 20 years, the DPRG has published studies on pharmaceutical use and health outcomes in large populations, methods of improving clinical decision-making, and the effects of changes in health insurance coverage for medications and cost-containment policies on the quality and outcomes of health care in the U.S., Europe, Canada, and developing countries. The group, a Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization, is recognized nationally and internationally. The core faculty consult frequently on health policy issues for elected state, national, and international entities including the U.S Congress.

See links to more complete descriptions of the group's domestic and global pharmaceutical research, training, and policy activities.
